Steps to obtain Kosher Certification

1. Application

Your application is the first active step toward certification. The KV KOSHER CERTIFICATION team will maintain your company information in the strictest confidence.

2. Coordination

After you apply, a Rabbinic Coordinator who is an expert in your field of production will be appointed to supervise all the matters related to your company.

3. Initial Visit

A thorough inspection of your production facilities will be conducted by your Rabbinic Coordinator in order to fully understand your production’s unique nature. In this first session, the Rabbi will detail all the procedures necessary to certify your establishment. Once his inspection is done, the Rabbinic Coordinator will report our headquarters. In that moment, an annual fee will be confirmed on the base of factors which shall include the nature, the location of your facilities and the amount of work required on our side. In case a matter is pending, we will work with you to solve it.

4. Contract

The contract is drawn up detailing the agreement between KV KOSHER CERTIFICATION and your company. The contract will be sent to you to be revised and signed. Please, bear in mind the following: before certification, you will be required to submit additional information regarding your ingredients and products.

5. Certification

After the contract is signed and the first year’s certification fee is paid, we will issue KV KOSHER CERTIFICATION certificates for your certified products. In order to display the KV symbol, trade mark, on certified products, the conditions of the production process and the requirements to be met must have been part of the contract.

6. Compliance

As part of our agreement, a regional representative of KV KOSHER CERTIFICATION will be appointed to visit your installations regularly. In addition, one of our Rabbinical Coordinators will inspect each and every installation once a year. With more than 30 representatives published in the world, we do our best to organize these visits in the most economical way.

7. Congratulations!!

Your product is now certified kosher by the most respected kosher supervision agency in the world. Your company’s name and your products will be listed in the KV KOSHER CERTIFICATION Food Guide.
